[Introducing] The Neighbourhood

The past month the giant ocean of music blogging have been filled with great, upcoming fish, more written about then others. The Neighbourhood is definitely one of them. EARMILK and Listen before you buy have both written about their existence, and yesteray they played with Wombtats in San Fransisco. On top of that, this Sunday they were ranked #2 on Hypemachine under No Remixes and #12 in total. Needless to say, they are making a name for themselves in the music world, and with their first released EP , that dropped yersterday, I thought it was about time to show them to you guys, unless you've already heard them.

Some people have compared them with Foster the People, and even if I agree to that comparisation or not, I like what I'm hearing, and believe me when I say that we haven't heard the last song being played by these guys!

Enjoy!

[Introducing] Half Moon Run

I discovered this Montreal-based folk trio Half Moon Run, starring Devon Portielje, Conner Molander and Dylan Phillips, at The Media Club, in Vancouver, when I went to watch Badgerchild play, who happened to be opening for them. I directly started to hear something that sounded like if The Maccabees, Local Natives and Fleet Foxes would all three have a child together, and I loved that child!

They released their first Album Dark Eyes in March, and have been touring around in Canada for a while, before they now head towards Europe where France and the United Kingdom is first on the list. Then they head north where Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Norway and Germany awaits. If you're somewhere close, you should definitely check them out!

You can listen to their whole album below. Enjoy!
